This Privacy Policy explains how Tank Track (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Tank Track mobile application and related services (the “App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

Who We Are

Information We Collect

We collect three categories of information:

Account information you give us. Name, email address, phone number, password, profile photo, vehicle or fleet details, and any other details you enter when creating or updating your account.

Usage and transaction information. Fuel entries, trip logs, mileage, fuel efficiency data, subscription status, payment records, support tickets, in-app messages, and content you submit through the App.

Device and technical information. Device model, operating system, app version, IP address, language, time zone, crash logs, and diagnostic data needed to keep the App stable.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Process subscriptions and payments through our payment provider.
• Show your fuel, trip, and analytics data inside the App.
• Send service messages, security alerts, and updates you have opted into.
• Improve features, fix bugs, and prevent fraud or misuse.
• Respond to support requests.
• Meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

Payments

Payments are processed by third party providers such as Apple, Google, or [Payment Processor Name]. We do not store your full card number or banking credentials on our servers. The payment provider handles that information under its own privacy and security terms.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers who help us run the App (hosting, analytics, customer support, payments) under written agreements that limit how they use your data.
• Law enforcement or regulators, where required by valid legal process.
• A buyer or successor, if Tank Track is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use analytics tools to understand how the App is used in aggregate. These tools may collect device identifiers, session duration, screen views, and crash reports. You can limit some of this through your device settings.

Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or other legal reasons.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@tanktrack.app. We will respond within the time required by your local law.

If you are in the EU or UK, our legal bases for processing are contract performance, legitimate interests, consent (where required), and legal obligation. If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know, delete, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal data; Tank Track does not sell your personal data.

Data Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and regular reviews to protect your information. No system is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk.

International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than the one you live in. Where required, we put safeguards in place such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in some regions). We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version inside the App and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted.
